Melissa C. He, Associate

Melissa He graduated from the University of California, Berkeley with a B.A. in Rhetoric and Interdisciplinary Studies, and received her J.D. from Fordham University School of Law.

At Fordham, Melissa was a competitor for the Trial Advocacy team and an editor for the Environmental Law Review.  She was the first American law student selected to clerk for the Attorney General of Northern Ireland, where she assisted in drafting guidance for criminal justice organizations under Section 8 of the Justice (Northern Ireland) Act 2004, and the European Convention for Human Rights.  Following Belfast, Melissa was a student attorney at Fordham Law’s Federal Litigation Clinic, where she represented indigent clients, and thereafter, the Walter Leitner International Human Rights Clinic, where she drafted Universal Periodic Reports for submission to the UN.

Melissa joined ARFD in 2018, and focuses on medical malpractice defense and federal practice.  Before ARFD, Melissa was as an associate at a boutique firm, where she worked on various complex litigation matters and general corporate counseling and formation.

Melissa is admitted to practice in the State of New York and in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York.
