Peter Fazio to speak before the American Bar Association on Motor Vehicle Product Liability Litigation

Aaronson Rappaport is proud to announce that Peter J. Fazio will be speaking at the upcoming 2019 American Bar Association’s Emerging Issues in Motor Vehicle Product Liability Litigation seminar at the Hotel del Coronado in Coronado, California.  Peter will be presenting on Modern Event Data Recorders. Lawrence W. Rosenblatt obtains a medical malpractice defense verdict in Queens County.

ARFD Partner, Lawrence W. Rosenblatt, and his stellar trial team represented an emergency medicine physician, a hospital and health care system in a medical malpractice action alleging a failure to timely diagnose and treat a pulmonary embolism in the hospital’s ER, resulting in the death of a 53 year old woman while still in the Emergency Department. The Case was tried for 3 1/2 weeks in Supreme Court, Queens County.  Six departure questions went to the jury, including a ‘loss of chance’ jury charge.  The plaintiff requested that the jury award 1.5 million dollars for pain and suffering as well

Defense Verdict in Nassau County for ARFD Partner, Larry Bloomstein and team!

On March 26, 2019, trial partner, Larry Bloomstein and his trial team obtained a defense verdict in Nassau County on behalf of their hospital client in a wrongful death case involving plaintiff’s claims of a failure to timely diagnose a myocardial infarction. Mr. Bloomstein was successful on liability and causation by establishing that the cause of death was not a myocardial infarction, but was instead a pulmonary embolus, which could not have been diagnosed or prevented prior to the decedent’s discharge from the hospital.
