Maya I. Ureño-Dembar, Associate

Maya I. Ureño-Dembar graduated Cum Laude from the University of California, Santa Cruz with a B.A. in Politics, and a minor in Philosophy. Thereafter, she obtained her J.D. from Brooklyn Law School, where she was a member of the Brooklyn Law Review and Co-Chair of the Latin American Law Students Association. As a member of the Brooklyn Law Review, Maya published her note entitled, “Shifting Antitrust Laws and Regulations in the Wake of Hospital Mergers: Taking the Focus Off of Elective Markets and Centering Health Care.”

Prior to joining Aaronson Rappaport, Maya worked as a law clerk at a plaintiff’s medical malpractice and personal injury firm. At ARFD, Maya’s practice primarily focuses on medical malpractice defense litigation for some of New York State’s most prestigious hospitals and physicians. She is admitted to practice law in the State of New York.
